About
In 1976 at age 24 I began taking photographs. Armed with a Kodak 110, driving a ’68 Ford Torino, I left my home state of Rhode Island in pursuit of the West Coast.
Santa Barbara, California has been my home for over 40 years. This is where in 1981 I met my wife. we are the proud parents of two sons who we raised in Carpinteria California.
My first motorsports event was the 1976 Long Beach Grand Prix. I worked with a Nikon Fe film camera with a 105mm micro lens. From that day on, motorsports became my passion. I am currently Senior Staff Photographer for Victory Lane magazine; I am a member of Motor Press Guild. Nikon Professional Services & member of Carpinteria Photography Club.
My images have been published in Victory Lane magazine, Vintage Oval Racing, SVRA Quarterly, Asphalt & Rubber, Road Racing World and Deep Magazine.
I have also worked as photographic assistant to world-renown motorsports photographer Jesse Alexander, who has inspired me and has become friend & mentor
In addition to my professional work, I photograph first responders, wildlife, people, and places – and whatever else I see.
